Hey- one more sweet little filler-

$3.99 for Whitman's sampler
-$2q in RP insert from this week

Makes a normally $8.99 item $1.99! Great for grads, dads, moms, and teacher gifts!

Anyone know if the Softsoap deal is still working in May? It was still on the bottom of my receipt so I thought maybe it was continuing...at least for the big ones. Anyone tried it?

Quick question!! I just started cvs-ing today (spent $15 and got $16 in ECBs back!!! not bad!) and I am wondering where all of the $3/15 and $4/20 coupons come from...any hints would be great!!

Thanks so much! love your site!

on the aquafresh site there are $1/1 and $2/1 coupons (depending on where you live), you can also link to them through couponloop or slickdeals.net on the may ECB wiki post. keep those ECB's in higher than ECB's out!!

oops i forgot, for anyone into the clairol deal (on sale this week for 5.99 from the usual 9.49), there are BOGO coupons in the P&G insert from today 5/4 and also a $2 off clairol herbal essences hair color in the rite aid pharmacy insert. the coupon says "Rite Aid" but is a manufacturer's coupon and CVS should accept it.....use both coupons and it makes your out of pocket $3.99 for two hair colors, with 2 ECB back!!

I am a CVS & coupon rookie but I have been researching this weekend and am very excited to try! I have a question though. My printer is old and prints colors in odd colors. Will the coupons work okay or would I be better off printing in black & white? Thanks for the awesome site and the great tips!!!

Denise Sawyer said...

Hillbillygal,
It will still work fine!
I have even had coupons print and the barcode didn't print but the numbers below the barcode did and the cashier typed in the numbers and viola! The coupon worked out just fine!!

Plus some coupons even say that the coupon may be in color or black and white.

So, don't let that ol' printer get ya down!

Helen, my thought about softsoap still being on the receipt is that half this week was April and half was May so it was a weekly deal for the first half of the week. This is my best guess :)

I didn't get the $5 ECB for buying 2 KISS items.... then I got home and checked my ad and the KISS deal isn't in it! Also the Buy a Garnier hair color, get $2 ECB wasn't in there either. =( Bummer.... I'm in S. Calif.

The Softsoap info is no longer on the bottom of my receipt. I think it ended on May 3rd.

As for coupon colors - if the coupon prints, it doesn't matter what color it's in! =)

Helen said...

Good to know about the Softsoap. Thanks, all!

I'm new to "CVS"ing also and I love reading your blog. Has anyone been having problems getting the Purina coupon to print? Every time I go through the quiz and try to download the coupon it says they're experiencing difficulties and to try back later. Thanks!

Denise - you did an awesome job laying those transactions out!

Sadly though, CVS has gotten no love from me this week ~I've been a WAGS girl. I bet they think I've died since I haven't been in LOL!

hillbillygal said...

Okay, I have researched, studied, and planned. I am ready to attempt my first CVS trip. (I did Walgreens today and did pretty well I think. ;) ) The way I have it figured, I should make .04 more in ECBs than I spend OOP. This is assuming the things I'm going after are in stock. I am planning on going Saturday since that is the next time I'll be in a town with a CVS.

Thanks for all the help and info! I'll let you know how it goes.
