Blog Talk Radio Show - Thursday Night 8 PM EST

Thursday at 8 pm EST be sure to tune into our radio show on Blog Talk Radio - Keeping it Centsible! We have a great show this week:

Engaging Your Preschooler: No Fancy Gear Required

with our special guest
Angela Santomero, Co-Creator and Executive Producer of Super WHY!, an award winning PBS Kids Series!

Angela has an impressive resume including being the developer of Blue's Clues in addition to Super WHY! She did her Masters thesis at Teachers College, Columbia University and is an expert on kids and media. She is going to talk about the tools she uses with Super WHY! to get preschoolers engaged, thinking and reading. She is also going to give us tips on how we can engage our preschoolers at home without fancy toys or expensive gear!

If you want to listen be sure to tune in to our show tonight at 8 pm EST!!!

There are a couple of options for listening:

1.Create an account at Blog Talk Radio -that way you can quickly jump in and participate in the live chat, where you can say hello and ask questions. It's free, of course! An account also allows you to save your favorite shows, and set reminders for upcoming shows as well.

2. Call in to listen - you won't be on air unless you have a question and you tell us you want to be on the air. You can just call in and hear us. The number is: (646) 727-1024

3. Can't make it on Thursday night? No problem, you can still enter! Just come back here Friday or Saturday and listen to the show in the player here on my blog (in the left hand side bar). The new show will be uploaded!

Do you have a question for Angela? Leave it here in the comments section and we'll share it LIVE on the show! Or, if you have a great way you engage your preschooler - leave that tip in the comments section as well - or call in! We'd love to have you on the show!

My boys LOVE this show and all of my kids loved Blues Clues (my youngest still does).

Wow - you've got an impressive guest tonight!

One of the best ways I've discovered over the years to get my kids engaged is just simply pointing out all the words around them. Store signs, street & highway signs, letter magnets on the fridge - letters, letters everywhere! They start spelling out what they see around them.

Best of luck tonight!
