Judah's 1st Circus

My family had the opportunity to see the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus thanks to Feld Entertainment! It was a total blast! We had a terrible time trying to figure out when to go - our first tickets got snowed out and there was no way we could get there! Then, the next weekend my husband had to work and so we finally got to go on the last day of the circus in Atlanta. But, it was totally worth the wait!

The circus in Atlanta was part of the Zing Zang Zoom (red) tour and the theme was magic! They made an elephant disappear and there were tons of other cool magic tricks - besides the normal circus acts like the fabulous tigers, elephants, and acrobats! This was Judah's first circus and such great timing with his birthday in just a week it seemed like an early birthday present! Even though I know he will never remember this event, we took lots of pictures to document the occassion and he had a blast! I had my doubts that he would enjoy it but he did! He LOVES music and he danced the entire time! He was mesmerized by the lights and noises (and the lemonade! ha!). It was a great time for DJ and I too! It has been YEARS since I've been to the Ringling Bros. circus (I think I was less than 10 the last time I went!).

We went to the early show in hopes that he would be in a good mood and he did really great - especially for a two hour drive to the circus and an hour wait. We got there early to exchange our tickets and to our surprise they let the early birds down on the circus floor (an hour before the show)! We got pictures made with the clowns, saw some acts up close and personal, and also got a few autographs on our program! Judah didn't know what to think about the clowns and their crazy bright hair and make-up!

He finally fell asleep just before the show ended. He just zonked out and slept until we arrived at Shane's Rib Shack for lunch. Days like this a far and few between for us and this one turned out to be a fabulous day! We can't wait to go back when Judah is older!

If you missed the Atlanta show, no worries! There are still plenty of shows on the tour. For instance, they are coming to Chattanooga, TN at the McKenzie Arena March 11 - 14th. You can see all the times here. This show will be a little different than the one I saw because it is part of the gold tour - Illuscination!

We went on the last day to the Circus in Atlanta, too... the 4 p.m. show -- because we, too, got "snowed out." :)
