I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off this week! I just got back into town and my house was a wreck. It was in desperate need of some "spring cleaning" since it hasn't been deep cleaned since Judah was born (today he is six months old!). So, finally as I am writing this post the house is finally clean and I've purged the closets one last time. We'll be having one last yard sale this weekend! All that is left to do is go grocery shopping! Now that I'm back to work at the primary school (part time this year) I really have to keep a tight schedule to make sure everything gets done and that I still have time to play with my little man. So, its time to pull out those coupons and get everything ready to make a fast run to the grocery store.

I LOVE Kroger - I find that it is one of the better stores around my area to shop at due to the fact that they double coupons with out lots of rules to hassle you like other stores in my area, and they have a huge selection. I shop at Kroger at least once a month and make visits to Walmart in between because it is closer. Really, for the most part those are the only two stores I really frequent. The only reason I pop into any other stores is to "cherry pick."

The sales in my area are not real fantastic (but should be next week when the case-lot sale comes to Smith's, our Kroger affliate). I will be doing most of my buying for the month then.
This week, I am going to use the Target baby coupons to get Desitin and Johnson's baby wash. The last time I went the Desitin was on an un-advertised sale, so I hope that happens again this time!
I have already gotten great deals at Walgreens (free toothpaste, Theraflu, razor, cheap dental floss and mac and cheese). Did the Cover Girl deal at Rite Aid. At CVS, I got Planters nuts, and several more things that I can't remember. Would love to take advantage of the Mega Sale at Krogers!

That sale just ended here and it was great. One thing I accidentally did was I bought five items and it took five dollars off my purchase. I got all five items for $0.68. I tried to explain to the sales lady that it was a mistake and she said that is what the register did, so it was the final price. Great sale!

Walgreen's has Poppycock for $1.99 and I have a 75 cents off coupon. I love this for snacking. Last night I stopped by CVS and they had a 3 day sale that was ending & I got Fun-size Hershey Candy Bars for 77 Cents! I'm hiding them for Halloween.
Our mega sale just ended too but I was able to stock up on fruit snacks and yogurt since those are about the only things my 2 year old will eat these days.

Last night I got one of the Orange Vanilla soy candles in The Fragrance Collection by Glade on clearance for 2.99 and used my $3 coupon! Free awesome candle! That is my free indulgence for the week (that and my .50 Chinet plates that were on sale 2/$5 and used 2 $2 coupons!) Oh, both of these deals were at Food Lion!

I went to Kroger for the first time last weekend and am heading back there this weekend. I loved, loved, loved it. The fact that their coupon policy is easier to adhere to that my normal grocery store made my life so much easier!
I'm planning on getting the 'Crazy Meal Deal' by buying 3 boxes of cereal and getting free milk, yogurt, english muffins and raisins. Great deal. I will likely even get 2!!
This week's shopping trip was yesterday. I did the Covergirl deal at Rite Aid. I got some toothpaste, toothbrushes, and theraflu at Walgreens. I did great at Target with ice cream and Special K bars. Kroger's mega event ended last week here in our area, so I only popped in to see what kind of specials they had on meat and to pick up some of my son's favorite bologna on sale 10/$10. Overall, a great day for deals was had yesterday. Thanks for the contest!

My walmart has the mcintosh apple glade fragrance collection candles on clearance for 2.50 each! With the printables we have floating around I can get 4 of them for free plus $1 overage! I love these candles and it's great to get something for free like that, b/c I would not normally buy them for myself.
