Smartipants Review and Give Away!

Howdy ya'll! I am finally back from Chicago and have finally beaten this "thang" called food poisoning! I had a blast at BlogHer09! I got to catch up with ol' bloggy pals and meet new ones! I had the opportunity to really get to know some of the folks I follow on Twitter - like @Toni_GPB and @chaoticbarb - I had a GREAT time!

While I was there, Judah worked the "runway" with his Smartipants cloth diapers on. The folks at Smartipants were nice enough to send us some more Smartipants diapers to take with us. He looked fabulous and no leaks! I got to show him off and talk about my favorite brand of cloth diapers all at the same time.

I swear, I know this sounds like a commercial, but I am so serious! I love these diapers. I have used several brands already, Kushies, Fuzzi Bunz, Bumkins, and Bummis wraps. I have to say I used to like the Fuzzi Bunz the best, and I do still like them. However, I love these new Smartipants because they are one size fits all - so I don't have to keep buying more in different sizes. They are trim too - which I know is hard to believe since they are one size fits all, but it is all in the design. Also, they are very reasonably priced!

I was talking to some women at BlogHer about how easy they are to wash too! I know... I know... if you don't cloth diaper you are probably thinking about how much work it would be to have to wash and reuse diapers! These are the easiest to wash and easiest to put on your baby. So, if you aren't totally sure about cloth diapering yet, I would recommend SmartiPants. They are literally just as easy to put on as a disposable.

And, the smart sleeve (the part that is inside the diaper that absorbs) does not have to be removed before you wash! It comes out all on its own! So, when you have enough to wash (usually every two or three days) you just dump your diaper pail over into the wash (no prewashing or touching required) and start the wash! It is REALLY that easy. My personal favorite detergent is Biz. I plop 'em in the wash with a scoop of Biz let them soak a few hours then start the machine and viola! They come out bright and smelling fresh!

Cloth diapering is a great BIG money saver with just a little more effort. And, you can feel good that you are consuming less, creating less waste, and saving more trees!
