Follow up on the $500 Walmart Gift Card!

You guys are HILARIOUS! And... have I mentioned that you RAWK my socks off!

I have been reading up on all the emails you guys have sent because of the $500 Walmart gift card give away! I love how you guys (like over half so far) have said you'll keep it short because you know I am busy!!! How'd you guys know - that's right several of you have mentioned you're moms and/or teachers too - your freakin' robots too! HAHAHA! Girls never get beauty sleep!

No, really... I have so thoroughly enjoyed your emails! It is good to feel like I am "keeping in touch" with you guys - my readers.

Lots of you have said you'd like to know more about me... well I'm really NOT that interesting -HA! I'm a teacher by day and a blogger by night. I work almost an hour away from my job as does my mom so we commute together - makes the drive MUCH easier! However, that means I spend LOTS of time in the car! When I get home (which is usually around 5:30 pm I jump on the computer read as much email as I can and then cook dinner. Luckily, I have a VERY helpful husband. He and I cook together. It gives us time to connect and see one another since we both work outside the home. After dinner, we clean up the kitchen - again together (I told you he was helpful!). Then, I plop down in front of my computer one more time (it is in my living room by the way - so I'm in the same room as the fam). This time I am reading blogs, checking blog data, posting on my own blog, and twittering (when I can find an extra second!). I usually work on the blog around 2 hours a night (sometimes more - sometimes less). Then, I try to watch (lately through my eyelids since I am 6 months pregnant!) at least one TV show that we have recorded on the DVR with my husband all curled up on the couch with my two Jack Russell dogs. That is my life 5 days a week. Weekends call for house work, meal planning, grocery shopping (a major haul once a month or less), jobs around the house, helping family out at their house, singing at my parent's coffee house, bible studies, and visiting with my family ... the list goes on! Weekends are NEVER long enough! =)

I'm going to try to give you a peek into my life and I think from your comments the best way to do that is to continue my video post - teaching you other frugal things I do while I'm doing them - so you can "see me in action!"

Thanks again for your emails! Keep 'em comin'

I didn't know you were pregnant! Congrats! Enjoy your last 3-4 month (if you can in the midst of the sleepless nights, endless peeing, and terrible back and leg cramps), because your life will turn upside once that little one arrives.

But it's the best change that ever happens! I love being a mom. Are you going to cloth diaper?

Congratulations! You just THINK you're busy now...haha. Just wait...but like everyone else says...being a parent is the best kind of busy. Are you going to keep working? I've taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades for the past eight years and this is my first year as Library Media Specialist. I will say, having a child makes you an EVEN BETTER TEACHER. You can relate and understand parents much better. I started back to school full time, work full time, and my husband being away in the military - all when my son was 5 months old. He's three now and it was all worth it. LOVE your blog!

Denise, you are the cutest preggers! And, I totally love those jeans with the tears in them!!

Thanks for sharing a little piece of your day! I think it will provide encouragement for many people trying to balance work/life! The kids in your classroom are extremely lucky to have a teacher like you - the world needs more dedicated caring people teaching our kids!!!

Take care :-)
