Reader Question:

I've gotten a couple of emails requesting that I start a "Show and Tell" for great grocery buys. I know a couple of other blogs are already doing this so I wasn't sure it was necessary.

What do you think?
Would you like to see a "Show and Tell" where you could leave a linky to see great grocery buys that every one has gotten this week?

Maybe I could spotlight one reader each week?
You could email me if you had a spectacular week and I could spotlight you on Saturday.
I could pick someone new each week to focus the blog post on and then everyone else could leave a link.
What do you think?

I imagine that you could do that, but there are a couple other blogs that are as large as yours already doing so. I think that you are doing a good job the way things are. :-)

I like your blog as it is. It is straightforward and to the point with good deals that I can pick and choose from. I will never have the same grocery list as another person so it wouldn't really be helpful except for encouragement purposes. And believe me, our budget is tight enough that I have all the encouragement I need to not spend a lot of money! :)

I agree, I actually quit visiting a couple of blogs, because of how much focus was on what I call "bragging rights". I know how exciting it feels to get a great bargain, but I also know not everyone wants to hear about it, unless I'm passing along something beneficial. I like your blog just the way it is. There are plenty of places for people to post their great bargain stories.

I agree. I like your blog just as it is.

Whatever you do, the linkys are a pain to read. Actually, I rarely read any of them! Thanks for the great job.

Agree. I usually don't read the links anyway. If you received a GREAT idea from a reader then I could see that it would be beneficial to your other readers. But, honestly, my eyes glaze over when there are too many links and I don't know the people posting them. If you highlighted something I would trust you but not many of the links.

I think it would be fun! I love to read about other's encouraging deal stories.
However, your blog is great just the way it is, too.

I love your blog the way it is also.

I never really look at the brag section of people's blog's. I'm sure some people like it, but I think your effort would be of better use elsewhere.

I like your blog the way it is. I so rarely follow links left in a brag section. And besides, almost everyone has a CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid nearby, but grocery stores are regional.

I love that idea because I've only been couponing for 3 months and really I can get any shampoo, toiletry, makeup, housecleaner very cheap but food is another story. I have a hard time with food.

I think your blog is awesome, one of my favorites! I personally like the show & tell I am a visual person and seeing other peoples savings is what motivated me to start couponing, I show my deals in hopes to motivate others :) I don't think it's bragging if you explain how it's done so that others can duplicate it. Keep up the good work!

I have to respectfully disagree with some of the posts above. Being relatively new to CVSing, I enjoy reading the CVS posts from others because it gives me a chance to see some of the possible deals that I overlook (and let me tell you, there have been MANY). I dont look at them as "bragging". I see them as being helpful to people like me who havent yet quite figured out all the advantages. Also having the links is a nice way to skim over for those who dont wish to read them.

I agree with Julie. I love that you help us out with the CVS and Walgreens/ Rite Aid, but that would be waaaayyy too many grocery stores. I'm in So. Cal, and we don't have any of the same stores. Love your blog. Still addicted. Check it twice a day, at least. Thanks for all your hard work
