I don't know about all area's, but in Lousiana and Mississippi, the Coke products are on sale on the front page of the flyer, not Pepsi products (therefore, Sierra Mist is not included). I learned this the hard way today.

Lisa said...

I had my list all ready and then I walked into my CVS. I was quite shocked that the ad was a little different. We have no 2 day sale! I was able to get the Pepsi 2 Liters but no mustard. I'll survive :)

Denise Sawyer said...

My ad has all the 2 day sale items that were listed...but mine were coke products too! NO Sierra Mist for me either - POOH!

Oh well, lots of other great stuff to be had...I've got my eyes on a pair of sweet goggles for the pool! :)
HEHEHE!

Just wanted to let you know that I went in to my CVS this morning(northwest Louisiana) and tried the Excedrin deal with the $2 coupon and they would not take it. I have done it before at the same store when it was on sale a while back, but the cashier told me that they are cutting down on coupon fraud and will not adjust the prices on the coupons anymore if they don't scan in the system. I needed the Excedrin so I used a $1 coupon I had from a newspaper insert and still got it for 99 cents. Not sure if this is nation wide or just in this area, but just thought I would pass this on.

Thanks for all the great tips!

You can print as many of the Playskool wipes coupons as you like (there's also a $2 off one for diapers) but you can only use one coupon per transaction!
I tried it last evening with a lovely, coupon friendly cashier (not knowing it was one per transaction) and she didn't know either until she had rung them all up and tried scanning the second wipes coupon... it wouldn't work, and she read the fine print and then explained it to me!
She allowed me to use 1 diaper coupon and 1 wipe coupon at the same time, but she said it depends on your cashier if they'll even allow that!

Kelly Belle said...

I missnamed mine.... :( can you delete it? Pwetty pwease? The Walgreens story one. I'll add the right one.

The Homemaker's Resource said...

You can use a $3 off $10 CVS brand coupon for the Playskool wipes as they are considered a CVS brand. This will get you even greater savings!

I just wanted to let your readers know that the printable coupons for the wipes say "one coupon per customer". I didn't realize this until I was at the register, trying to use 6 of the coupons for 6 pkgs of the wipes.

So, depending on how stictly each cashier is, these might have to be purchased individually if you want optimum savings.

Tracy DeLuca said...

Crud. After reading the fine print on the playskool coupons, I am going to have to completely redo my scenarios! hmmmm..... I will redo and repost as soon as I can.

Thank you for doing all the hard work so we can learn how to do this CVS thing. What a great way to stretch what God has given us=)

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Denise.

I started the week off by getting the two Tide detergents free thanks to my $5 off $15 coupons and the $2 ecb's and 2 stores. I did notice that some of the ads posted on other blogs are not the same deals for our Chicago area stores.

I also found more of the half price diapers, this time Pampers jumbo pks for $5.75 so between that and the earlier CVS ones, the local food pantry should have 11 pks. On to the Playskool diaper deal buy 2 get $5ecb back. I had gotten a $3 coupon for them through my card a couple weeks ago plus still have the $5 off $15 (good for another week). That'll be $13 off $22 in the end.

If anyone is in teh Chicago area, my local Menards has the Sunday Tribune (think coupons!)for $1 instead of $1.79. I got 8 Ken's salad dressings/sprays free combining that with the store special. I don't even like salads :-)

I'm really bummed that there's no Tide ECBs here in OH. I already made a trip last night, but I might have to make another later this week to see if they'll let me do the Wipes deal you posted. Where can I find one of the $3/$10 CVS brand coupons? Oh, and I used 4 of the $2 Excedrin coupons last night with no problems. These things seem to vary store to store and cashier to cashier.

Question on the Rimmel Mascara... how did you figure that one at 1.40 for 2? Did you have a BOGO?

Tracy DeLuca said...

Never mind. It's BOGO in the sale paper! duh. I missed that one when I went over the sales!

I just want to thank you and all the others out there helping make this easy for us newbies ..

I'm so excited I have to share my first real profitable transaction (my 2nd trans. since starting to do this, first time oop was $10 and got $8 ECB)

So since I'm new, I was able to do some deals that others have already done. So I got the Adidas Deoderant, tums quick pak, and 2 revlon nail polishes. Pre tax total 17.66, used $3/15 2-$2 revlon, free Adidas, and $1 tums used $5 ECBs and paid OOP .02 yeah!! 2 pennies on my first planned out trip!!!
And the best part I got $15.68 ECBs, another $5 off/$25, a profit of 10.68 in ECBs

This is awesome thank you all for helping with scenarios and helping us all strech that dollar ALOT farther than we ever knew it could strech!!

First,
Thanks all of you guys for the sweet comments. Cause for now...that is my only pay for doing this! :)
So it really means a lot! :)

Tara,
As far as I know you can get $2/$10 CVS Brand coups in a purple pamphlet found in the CVS pharmacy area. $3/$10 coups supposedly print at the end of your reciept...however I have NEVER been lucky enough to score any! :(

Deal Mama Belle,
I fixed it! :)

And ...
Jen Biggs,
I agree with Tara ... it varies from store to store. Policies aren't the same sadly for some of you! So several of the CVSs in my area will take 'em ... as many as you want to fork over... other CVSs in my area are cranky about the internet coupons too! :( You just have to test it!

Hope that helps ya!

Denise,
You are so right!! I have gotten a little looser with the ECB's since starting a little over a month ago... I now realize that they aren't that hard to accumulate! Specially with the lovely 3/15. Also, I only get the 3/10CVS from the scanners. Do you have one of those in your store?

Thanks so much for all your hard work!!!

Jessica M
I did the badly needed playskool wipes deal too and only got to use one coupon. I didn't feel too badly cause they were only 1.00/wipes after the 3/10CVS, 3/15, 5ECB back and my one lonely wipe coupon. I had just found a 5 ECB in my old receipts too!

Tracy DeLuca said...

My manager refused to accept the Revlon coupons for the regular Revlon Enamel! Just FYI.

Mackensie said...

Was the Tide mentioned in the flyer? The CVS in Dayton did not have it on sale - and no ECB! Boo.

Becky said...

Woo-Hoo! Thanks for starting the linky deal for other scenarios! Great idea!
I bought a Revlon Nail Polish and got no ECBs :( I'm still trying to get in touch with CVS!

Jen said...

I may just keep trying with the coupons depending on the cashier I get and the CVS I'm in. The one I had seemed very competent and nice so I was alright with using the lesser coupon. And I tried the same $2 coupon at Walgreen's last night and it went through with no problems so I got Excedrin free there. Yay! Thanks!

Lys said...

I wanted to know a little more about the $X/$Y coupon that some readers say they have "is good for another weeks" etc. Does this mean that you keep the coupon after it is scanned to use it on your next trip? Or do you hand it to the cashier with the others? Just new to this as we don't coupon in Oz. Thanks!

Sarah @ Fiddledeedee said...

Lys,
The $3/$15 printable expires on June 6th (I think that's the one you're referring to that people are saying is good for another week). You have to give it to the clerk at checkout, but you can print multiples of the coupon, and use a new one each time you checkout (until it expires, that is!). Hope that helps.

ALSO, I was able to buy 5 of the Colgate 360 Toothbrushes (instead of the advertised max of 3). They all printed ECB's, so you might want to try it out! Also, for Publix shoppers, there's a new coupon booklet with a $.75/1 Q you can use for this toothbrush. Visit my blog to see a picture...

Thanks Denise for all your hard work!!!
