My boys love to make a big mud puddle with the ater hose and run their trucks and tractors through it. We wash off with the cool water hose before heading into the house.
At my day care we order caterpillars and we watch them grow into butterflies.. so about the first week in June we all go to the beach and let them fly free. It's truly beautiful!!!

We head to the local park that has a sprinkler park and we run around there for the afternoon. For a day at home we fill up our 4 man boat and use it as a perfect pool!!

We hang out in the backyard with sprinklers, baby pools, water guns, etc.
I fill up buckets of different sizes and let the kids see how they fit into each one and also what objects sink or float! I also put ice in them and the kids watch them melt!
My older kids love cooling off in our swimming pool or setting up the little kiddie waterslide, and even filling water balloons and throwing them at each other. My little one likes the sprinkler, hanging out in her tube in the pool, or splashing around in her baby pool.

Last year we asked that everyone give money at my son's birthday instead of buying small toys...we matched to money and bought a large waterslide from toys r us on sale. My kids keep some of my old pots, pans and cooking utensils on the back porch. I use the hose to fill the pots and they pour, strain, wisk, stir and splash for hours!

Two things that we have been known to do -- break out the kiddie pool and put it out back on the deck.
The kids (and grownups too) have been known to hang out in the pool for quite some time.
2nd thing -- my little guy loves the hose. He loves to help water the flowers and he doesn't mind to get wet... I've on occassion have let him go hog wild and spray himself. I have some one of a kind candid photos of him spraying him self in the head... oh to be a kid again!!
We LOVE to play at the neighborhood kiddie pool sharing our tea set with all the kids. We also love to hit Hershey Park (2 mi up the road) and play at the Boardwalk =)
We love to throw all the diving toys to the bottom of the pool and have a contest to see who can get the most.

My kids love to jump on the trampoline while being sprayed with the hose. They don't get this pleasure often as we live in So. Cali where there is a bad drought right now. We try to take the kids to the beach or else we just hang out a local lake most the summer.

We play in sprinklers... we have a small pool for toddlers... but this is our first year old enough to run through sprinklers.
when we are at home we hook up the sprinkler for our 4 year old daughter and let her run through it. or we'll let her "wash" her bikes etc. also we live across the street from a public beach so we go there sometimes too.

We're very lucky in that our neighborhood has a beach club, which is pretty much a swimming pool with sand around it, so it looks like a lagoon! It's awesome and my 3-year old loves going to it and we can't wait for it to re-open Memorial Day! Especially looking forward to taking my 6-month old there too this year!

We bought an Easy Set pool last year and our kids loved it. We also have a Step 2 swingset with the pool at the bottom of the slides and the kids love that. We also have Slip & Slide and sprinklers. Tons of fun to be had for free in our yard! We have a blast all summer long.

We go to a local "Splash Pad" at the park nearby! It is full of fun and colorful sprinklers and buckets dumping water. The kids play all day and it is only $1! What a deal!!!!!!!

My daughter (11 months) recently had her first swimming pool experience. We have friends with a hot tub. They heated it up until it was a comfortable "tub temperature", then we all got in! My daughter loved it - it was like a big bath with family and friends!
I take the kiddos to the beach when the tide goes out, the sand is warm and it heats up the water. we sit and float in the bigger ones- I know they cant float away when the tides out!!
We love all things water but one of the favorites is to run thru the sprinkler.
We take our boys to the pool to play. Our youngest is 7.5 months and this will be his first summer going to the local pool. I can't wait to see how he reacts to the water and all the people.

We look for something to do water-related all much as we can during the hot summer months. We've has car washed where I let my son wash his Cozy Coupe while I wash my car. Being outdoors and in the water is a must for my kids in the summertime. We go to the lake and set up our kiddie pool on the dock for the 2 yr olds and the other kids go tubing and water sking in between swimming off the dock.
My daughter takes swimm lessons. The whole family goes to the dam and plays at the swim area.

We live in the South so we get to start running outside in late April. Today we will break out the kiddie pool and the and the squirt bottles, bubbles and Popsicle's and a bunch more stuff. When I say squirt bottles I mean old cleaned out dish washing liquid bottles. They are the perfect size and its good cheap fun. We will also be working in our garden. Its not a huge garden but I get the biggest kick out of watching our daughter gorge herself on cherry tomatoes. I never knew summer could be so much fun through the eyes of a almost 3year old. We do so many things with water it seems! We get out the kiddy pool and play all day, use the hose, hook up a sprinkler, water balloons, slip n' slide, water guns... The list could go on and on. Yea summer!

My son and I collect the baby frogs that come every summer he makes a nice home in the flower bed out of mulch and puts a mini pool for them and other bugs for them to eat then when it gets hot my 3 year old tricks me and says i need to wash my hands and i turn around and he soaked me head to toe with the hose and siad you were all sweaty mom i need to give you a shower...Awesome moments! :)

My 2 year old loves running through the sprinklers way more than her kiddie pool and she likes going to the grandparents' house for pool fun.
One of our favorite activities is to use our slip n slide. We of course also use the sprinkler for good wet fun.
When we the chance, the community pool is another option.
We have a free fountain spray park in our area that we go to and take a picnic lunch and stay and play all day.

We love to go to the beach, but cannot make it every weekend, so we put a few chairs out and watch the boys run in and out of their pool.

we shoot each other with huge water pistols, but one thing that we have done since my son was little was have water balloon fights. My 16yr old and his 7yr old sister love to still soak each other with water balloons once it gets warm outside!

My 21 month old son Jackson loves to play with the water hose at his Nanas. And we like to go to Harvest Park in our neighborhood and they have a water area for kids to play in.

My son loves to help me water the flowers...and of course play with the water hose! Now that he's older we'll head down to Coolidge Park and play in the fountain in Chattanooga.
We love to set up the kiddie pool and put the slide in it. =) Watering the flowers (and each other=) is also something we all enjoy.

I have an infanct, so we just sit in the little shooting fountain part at the neighborhood pool and let the water splash us. He loves it!

Our kids love to "help" wash the cars by being squirted with the hose. Sometimes we turn the sprinklers on and let them run through the yard. They have a blast, and the grass gets watered.
My son loves to be outside. He is almost 1. We got him a little pool to try out this summer.
My favorite water thing to do with the kids is to make a mud puddle and then we all get to play in it- fun! Then we get clean under the garden hose.

My son is only 15 months so I just got him a little inflatable pool I put in the backyard. Hopefully we can go to the Wisconsin Dells this summer. That will be fun.

We love to bring out the slip-n-slide for our backyard and put it up on the hill and soap it down so my boys and go really fast into the little pool. They have such a blast with it. We also love to pack up and go to the beach and build sandcastles, find sea shells (that's the best part)to collect in our buckets, splash in the waves and take lots of pictures.

We water the plants and grass in the afternoons, so i let Matt and Dom get their trunks on and get wet. The grass gets the water it needs and they get to have fun with the sprinklers.

We set up an outside fun day! Slip n slides, bubble machine, kiddie pool, water guns, and the sno cone machine. By the time they are done, we are all ready for bed!

we use the inground pool across the way, or we travel to the beach, only 20 mins away. It's really important to get all the fresh salt air and the ocean is beautiful. They love the water! We use the time to play together as a family, for health reasons by swimming in the salt water, or walking the beach which is great for them. we use the time for discovery and exploration and excercise! AND FUN!

My kiddos love running through the sprinkler and water balloon fights. When they were younger we had a water play table that they loved to float boats and things in, turn the water wheel, etc. I am looking forward to sharing it with my nieces and nephews this year!
