Judah Martin Sawyer arrived on March 2 at 4:07 pm. He is 7 lb.s 1.4 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. I was able to deliver him naturally - and I'm still alive! =)
He is the spitting image of his daddy - with blonde hair and steely blue eyes. We enjoyed all the visitors at the hospital and can't wait for all of our family to come in this weekend.
We are finally at home! Everyone is doing great! I will post more pictures later. Right now everyone is just getting adjusted.
Since I'm home now I'll be posting sporadically for the next few days and I also have a guest post or two to share with you!

What a wonderful blessing. Glad to hear that you are all doing well. Take a nice deep breath. (especially if you are nursing, it is going to hurt... hey now, if you have done it, you know what I am talking about. NO one ever talks about it. The latching on hurts for a little bit, BUT, it does get better) just breath through it. You Rock!

#1-yes, he's getting enough to eat, really, even though you can't see how much he drinks while nursing
#2-yes, his little toes and fingers ARE actually perfect
#3-yes, you will eventually sleep through the night again, just not for quite a while
#4-no, you don't look fat, you look like the beautiful mother of a newborn.

I second what was said about breastfeeding. The lactation consultants told me over and over it would only hurt if I was doing it wrong (and made me feel stupid in the process). Well I've nursed 4 babies now, and it hurts no matter what for about the first 2 weeks while "they" are getting used to being used that way! But hang in there, it is SO worth it! (and much cheaper!) :-)
Another word of advice, accept help if people offer (meals, etc).

What a wonderful miracle! Congratulations to you and your family, what a blessing! I agree about nursing, I thought it would never get better and my lactation consultant told me to stick with it. I'm going to agree that breastfeeding hurts. :-)
but also if it's hurting longer than the first 2 weeks... I would have a talk with someone from the La Leche League. I had issues with my third one, and it was hurting for 2 whole LONG months, but I was stubbornly sticking it out, and falsely assuming I knew everything about breastfeeding from the other 2. lol She had me sans pain in less than 3 days. So, yeah, point is to ask for help if it feels 'wrong'. :-)
P.S. we aren't trying to scare you... it is SOOOOOO worth it in the short and long run. so don't give up, just ask for help.

Oh, that is SO WONDERFUL! I remember the joy I felt (and how surreal it felt) when I had my son. He was my first too and we also cloth diaper. Everything about the whole experience was amazing, even the unplanned C-section! I am so happy for you and I hope you are treasuring every second of this. It's only new once and it's the most amazing thing in the world. Like God created us for this! Being a mom is amazing isn't it???? Congrats!!
