Being new to CVS I have a question. The hardest part I am finding is that I'm not sure how to break up my transactions. I'm sure I could be saving more somehow when I read other CVSers scenarios, but I'm not catching on to that part. Any ideas or suggestions?

I have been CVSing since the summer and it seems to me that the transaction breakdowns are really only required when using a $/$$ coupon of some sort or when utilizing coupons with ECBs. You want to make sure that your transactions minimize OOP and maximize ECB growth while still utilizing your manufacturer's coupons/CRTs/and those sweet $/$$ favorites. Ex. if you have a $3 off CVS brand coupon and a CRT for $2 off Gold Emblem nuts. You might try to do a transaction with close to $0 OOP since CVS brand sales will now grow ECBs. You might then do a name brand transaction using your coupons that will help you to end up with more in ECBs than you spent OOP. I hope this helps a bit. Good luck -- it gets easier! Carol Ann
