We are having a baby boy!
The doc. said that he weighs 15 oz. I've gained 10 lbs! I am 21 weeks prego as of today. He is actually measuring a little bit bigger indicating he is about a week older than they thought... but not enough to move my due date. He is a feisty one! This will be my first and I have been totally shocked at how much movement I have felt already. I began feeling the movements around 17 weeks. Some of the punches or kicks are so strong my husband can already feel them! They saw everything they wanted to see in the ultrasound, so he is looking good and everything has just worked out perfectly so far. Thank the Lord!We can't wait! We are planning to visit a local fabric shop this weekend and pick out some fabric to cover an old heirloom chair that belonged to my great-grandma that we are planning to use in the nursery. We are going to really get going on the room now.
We have also been thinking of names... but boy names are so hard!

Congrats on your little son! I have two and when people found out what I was having they always said 1) boys are so much fun and 2) they love their mama! They do!!!
I remember when they told me mine was measuring a little big...he only turned out to be 10 1/2 lbs. No matter what size they are every ounce of them is precious.
Good luck with your pregnancy and I hope you enjoy every minute like I did with all three of mine. I wish I were in your shoes again...sniff, sniff...but I have a tubal now.
How awesome!! It's very true boys are SO MUCH FUN!! I have two myself - one is 2 and the other is 3 1/2 months. With our first he had a name as soon as we found out he was a boy - with our second one... I was 7 months pregnant before we finally settled on a name! Congratulations! Boys are THE BEST! My husband and I have four sons (21, 19, 17 and 16) and back in 2001 I took in my then 4 year old niece (her mom was killed in a car accident, and her dad [who is my brother] was left a ventilator dependent quadriplegic). Any way - I often say there is a reason the Good Lord didn't give me a daughter of my own - she is a totally different breed than raising boys. Boys do love their mommas, and are far less dramatic. Enjoy every minute - it goes by like a snap of the finger. Blessings to you!
Congratulations!! I have to agree, boy names are so much harder than girls. We had 3 girls and then a boy. We never agreed on a single boys name until we came up with the name for our son. If we had had a boy earlier, we would have been up a creek without a paddle! Congratulations again, and I am so glad everything looks good!

If you think it might be in your plans to have more, you might want to keep your nursery a little neutral. We had a boy first and then a girl...it was nice not to have to redo the nursery for the second one.
OMG I just went to the dr. on monday and they told me exactly the same thing you have been told right down to the size!! hopw crazy is that? I am 20 wks also but he is measuring 21 weeks, although not enough to change the due date (March 14, 09). We have our name though. Jackson. and this will be my third boy!!

It's funny to hear everyone say how thinking of boy names are so hard. I have two boys and I still haven't run out of names! (We have 2 girls names picked out too but girls names were always much harder for us!) Congrats!! Rest up... boys are always moving! (You're finding that out already :)
I have 2 boys and they are so much fun and also so different from girls. Enjoy every moment of the pregnancy and sleep all you can! LOL Congratulations! My boys' names are Braeden Orion and Malachai Icarus. If we have another boy we are thinking of Ezra or maybe Ezekial.... who knows! LOL Best of luck with the rest of this pregnancy!

Congratulations! I really wanted a boy for our first and my husband wanted a girl. He got what he wanted and I'm so glad he did! I still hope we have a boy sometime, but girls are wonderful, too.
Congratulations! I have 2 boys and 2 girls. I will have to say boys are alot easier than the girls. Boys just seem to be easier going. I did have a hard time with boy names too. It seems like there are more girl names. How exciting to be able to decorate a room. There are so many cute baby things out now! Can't wait to see a picture of it when your done with the room.

Boys names are easy...think of your two favorite Bible guys and put those names together. How about a Thomas Andrew, James Aaron and a Stephen Paul works too!

Congratulations!! Being a mom to three girls I can't tell you anything about how much fun a little boy is. But I can say that being a mother is a wonderful gift you don't really understand until it happens to you. When I found out I was pregnant with our oldest I was so afraid that I wouldn't know what to do after she was born. Then I saw her and all of that fear vanished. I can honestly say that my girls are the best gifts I have ever received! And once again Congratulations!!!!

Congratulations! Boys names are harder because they keep getting used for girls. We have two boys ten years apart, Christian and Ivan, and I LOVE BOYS! Remember, two syllable names don't have to be shortened. We (and his friends) don't shorten "Christian". If you want a bible name, remember to look at bible names in different languages ... like "Ivan" (grin).
One last preachy advice, remember to get plenty of good fat if you can, your baby's brain is made of fat!

With our first, we just named him after his dad. By our third child, we were at the hospital looking through a baby names book! Good thing she was a girl, or she still might not have a name!
I have 3 boys and God does know what he's doing when he chooses the gender for our kidlets. I am totally a mommy for boys (but, I am trying to convince God that I would be OK as a mom for girls too - He's not biting).
I am praying that you continue with your pregnancy with a healthy baby and all the excitement and enthusiasm this new life is going to bring for you and your hubs. There really is nothing like your first...until your 2nd, or 3rd, or...

We also have two girls, and while I will DEFINITELY say my son was easier, the girls are twins and I always attributed it to that! From reading these comments, I guess boys are just easier by nature. It is even harder to name a child (especially a boy) when you are a teacher. Certain names bring a vision of a naughty child.

Awww! Congrats! That is such exciting news. I remember how excited I was when I was pregnant with my first.
Congratulations!! Boys are so easy!!! I have 2, Jonathan is 21 and Spencer is 18, and they do love mom. Both are away at school now and I so miss them so. Spencer is a great name , not too many people use it. There are Jonathans everywhere. Jonathan's best friend is named Jonathan, so we have to call them by last names. That is something to think about with "trendy" names.

Our first was a boy and our second a girl. And they make Sooooooo much cuter boy clothes now than when I was growing up. We too struggled a bit coming up with a boy name. Why is it girl names are so plentiful? But my son is still very much Momma's boy. So loving and sensitive. It's my GIRL!!! who is fearless,climbing and diving off things and giving me heart attacks!

What great news - we have 3 boys and a girl - and I love my girl to pieces, but I just LOVE having boys!!! My only advice on picking a name is pick a name that will never get old - one that you dont mind saying a gazillion times a day!! I still love our names and they fit our boys perfectly!
