Before couponing, my idea of being frugal was buying the store brands, which were fine by us.
But, since couponing, we have all these name brand items! My husband said he didn't even know what to do with real Oscar Mayer BEEF hot dogs! I have so many "convenience" items now that were free or oh-so-close.
By the way, I am digging on the size of your pantry!
I just wanted to say that I love your videos. Thanks so much! I have been a faithful reader of your blog for about 8 months now. I have gotten so much out of all of the work you do.
Very nice video, with 5 children we also stockpile, and have been for 20+ yrs. One tip most people don't know, and it is more of a gas saver tip, while you are stockpiling you can also stockpile milk, if you have extra freezer space. Just pop it in the freezer, then put it in the fridge to thaw out the day before you need it. Blessings Marilyn
Thanks for all the great comments - you guys are too funny. Yes, we do have some liquor in our pantry. =) You caught me. I told him to keep that out... oh well. We don't stockpile it though! HA! You get the REAL and uncut version. =)
I didn't want it in the video b/c I didn't want to cause a great debate.
Oh, and about my pantry. Many of you know that we built a new house about a year ago and one of my stipulations was a LOTS of storage. That is what I learned from living in a house that didn't have any. I LOVE my pantry and I fought tooth and nail with the contractor to understand how important it was. =) So many people want to see the whole set up... I could do that. And, of course, my stockpile isn't just in my pantry but my cleaning supplies are somewhere else and now diapers too. =) I think I'll work on that today. =)
Thanks again for all your kind words, I am new at this whole video thing. I like it but it is work!
Thanks for sharing this with us - we do appreciate the time you put into this site and now the videos too. Your site has helped me make huge changes in the way I shop for and feed my family - I've been able to cut our grocery/household expenses in half thanks to what I have learned from you. Your blog is a blessing and a joy - many, many thanks!
