I love this post. I am an avid CVS shopper, as of 1 month ago...yes, that is all. And, I just mapped out all my scenerios today, so I would be ready to run in and get my deals, too.
It was interesting to see some of your scenerios, and I may be changing mine up a little now...thanks for the info.
The Pantene coupons call for a larger size than what's on sale at CVS. Boo hoo!! We love Pantene here. ;o) Thank you for sharing all the great buys!!
i am an avid CVS-er as well, but i'm wondering....how exactly do you find it ethical to print off more than one $5/$15 coupon? i don't want to start an arguement, but i'm just wondering. if there is a ethical way, i'll jump on the bandwagon! but right now, it doesn't seem that way to me.
can you help??
fluud7,
I am VERY careful about how I coupon and where I gather my data. I am with you... being thrifty doesn't have to mean being unethical. I read the info from Money Saving Mom, Crystal Paine's site and she posted this:
Anonymous: You should be able to so long as it's in separate transactions and your CVS store allows it. In the past, these types of coupons code be used more than once without a problem.
So, I know from her prior postings she is ethical in her couponing as well, so I assume this is okay. She's given me no reason to doubt yet.
Also, if you still don't agree, that is cool! Just do one of the scenarios here if you want OR do them without the $5/$15 coupon. No one says you have to do what is here...its just a suggestion...meant to help others! Hopes this helps!
Fluud: Someone posted this at Money Saving Mom, but in case you haven't been over there I just wanted to let you know that on the form with the coupon it says "For additional peace of mind, feel free to make as many copies of this page as desired." They know people will be making many copies, and since they are telling you to do it, I don't see how it is unethical.
I went yesterday and they had nothing that they advertised. I don't get that? They said that their truck comes in on Thursday and to check on Friday. It seems silly to advertise stuff you don't have. I need to go back for the toothpaste, Vitamin C supplements, and the Oral-B toothbrushes (all in their flier, but none in the store!)
Great deal ideas!
Thank you for sharing all the deal ideas. I am very close (less than 2 miles) from my cvs, so it is easy for us to go too
I think your deal ideas are great! Thanks for sharing...don't worry about the ethics debaters, if anyone has any problems with a scenario, don't do it, that's all!
Susan (and anyone else wondering!):
Justgot back from CVSing and I got the Pantene (I got one shampoo, one conditioner, & a hairspray and they were all smaller than the coupon said -for the $2.88 price) and my coupons went through! So, if you like Pantene you should give a try!
:)

Thanks SOO much for this post! It gave me the motivation to do my first CVS deal. I am doing the happy dance! This could become addictive...
Is the Cross Action toothbrush rebate mail in offer valid on the same ones on sale at CVS? It looks like its just the power ones. If I could still use it, it would be great though, has anyone tried it?
