I signed up to host a house party for Oscar Mayer this past weekend and we had a blast! Are you familiar with House Party? It is a website that is the central point for thousands of house parties across the country. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends.
All you do is set up an account and then sign up to host parties. If you are picked you'll recieve some sort of package with some of the elements to host a fabulous house party around the sponsor's product, television show, movie, charity, etc.
This past weekend I hosted an Oscar Mayer party as I mentioned, and House Party sent me a package with plates, napkins, a tray, a ceramic condiment server, an apron, coupons to purchase hotdogs for FREE, along with other coupons to help me purchase some of the condiments. They send this along with wiener whistles and coupons for FREE hotdogs to hand out to all of my guests.
I made my famous potato salad and our "secret family recipe" (okay Bush's baked beans) baked beans, chili, and slaw. Southern dawgs all the way here! I also made a deconstructed apple pie for desert! YUM!
It was fun catching up with old friends and their new little ones. I hope to host many more events with House Party!

I've been on House Party for several years now. My favorite parties were a Tassimo Coffee Party and a Board Game party (can't remember the name right now) They sent me great prizes and fun freebies and my friends had a fun time. We learned about some new products we hadn't tried before and found some new favorites.
